What happens at the Beach- T A Williams

beach

This was a gorgeous summer read. It has everything to make you lose yourself in a wonderful holiday bubble. Gorgeous beach setting, brooding lead male, romance, warm family time, sightseeing stunning historical sites in South France and a cute labrador who goes visiting.

Natalie escapes to France to stay with her grandmother in a glorious setting. Her grandmother helps her overcome her recent split with a fiance and gives her such a warm family embrace whilst she’s still tender. She’s trying to play cupid and at the same time getting Natalie to follow her dreams. We’d all love a grandmother like this.

She meets Mark who lives locally and is helping him on his research for a book set in France which combines some amazing sightseeing trips with historical importance with the research she wants to spend her life sharing. Sparks would fly between these two if they were free to let them ignite. Will they listen to their souls?!

I really loved everything about this book- the food in various places sounded delicious and I’d love to visit the cafe . The characters are all warm and engaging. The hint of romance between various characters is enticing and you are left with a completely relaxed, satisfied feel although sorry to have to say goodbye to everyone.

You are always guaranteed a wonderful read with TA Williams and this one was no exception. It really is the perfect book to pack in your holiday suitcase. If you aren’t lucky enough to be going away this year- this book will transport you on a ‘virtual’ holiday wherever you choose to spend your summer.

With many thanks to Carina UK who always deliver a great read and Net Galley for an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
